About us
Buena Goods started with the best of friends, Susie and Katie, having fun sewing together in a little shed. With a shared passion for design, they make handmade goods that are beautiful, practical for everyday life, and seriously durable. They were introduced to the breathable industrial mesh they use in all of their products from time rafting on the river. The mesh continues to look great and not degrade even after years of exposure to sun and water. They use this material for goods made for everyday life. Buena Goods: good goods, built to last and stay beautiful.

Meet Scotty Holden! She is an amazing and wonderful part of the Buena Goods team! Scotty is artistic and crafty - a true creative who is a natural sewer. She recently graduated from High School and has been sewing for us since June of 2023. We are so lucky to have her bright sweet self in the sewing studio!

Our Commitment to Sustainability
For Buena Goods, our approach to sustainability includes not only environmental health but the business’s health over time. As a company, we strive towards eco-sustainability. Durability and longevity of our products is a pillar of our philosophy. Our handcrafted products are made to last and be beautiful. We invite all of our customers to reach out to us if ever our products fail them and are in need of repair. We believe that if the people who carry our products love and use them, then the product is inherently sustainable by reducing the need for a replacement and minimizing waste. In our manufacturing process, we have very little waste and minimize our carbon footprint by being very efficient and mindful with all of our business decisions. For example, both Katie and Susie live within a 2 block radius of both the sewing studio and our retail shop. We strive to find the most environmentally responsible sources for all of our raw materials. At this moment in Colorado, we are moving from single-use plastic bags, but many of the cheap totes on the market have a short shelf life and lack quality. Our bags are a solution to a decades old environmental health problem.
Another aspect of Buena Goods’ sustainability ethos as a small company, is that if we hire local production sewers who can ride their bicycle to work, have a flexible work schedule, and work in an environment they enjoy, we believe it creates a sustainable quality of life/work balance and a thriving workplace.
