Who we are

Buena Goods started with the best of friends, Susie Moutray and Katie Meadows, having fun sewing together in a little shed. With a shared passion for design, their bags are beautiful, functional, and seriously durable. Everything is handmade in Colorado. Good goods!

In the spring of 2024, the Buena Goods flagship store opened. One-hundred and fifty whole square feet of brick and mortar in the old Vic building on F Street. Anyone who knows Salida, knows the Victoria Tavern, along with Arkansas River and the Tenderfoot Hills. It's a community that values nature and recreation; it’s full of participants and collaborators; and it's been a supportive place to build a business. 

The summer before that, we hired our first employee, Scotty. Sewer and crafter extraordinaire! Her beaded shoelaces sealed the deal and she was hired. Now we’ve added sewer extraordinaire #2, Madi Glecker; Store Manager, Monica Ranes; and a staff of seven incredible shopkeepers. The shop, the sewing studio, and the majority of the staff live in a two block radius. It's not exactly a commune, but it's cozy and convenient (bag drops are usually done by wagon.)
